Flexible electronics is now available in multiple forms. Amorphous thin film transistors, passive components and antennas can be fabricated over large areas on plastic via plate to plate fabrication or by printing technologies. Single crystal silicon integrated circuits can be thinned and will be available soon through a foundry. This talk will examine the strengths and limitations of the various forms and how they might be combined for optimum system performance for promising flexible electronic applications.
