Since inception, the CHM has partnered to varying degrees with more than 60 companies both regionally and nationally. These partnerships have involved collaboration on research grants, sponsored research, gifts of instrumentation and advisory board membership.

The Center has formed an advisory board of industry experts familiar with the challenges of leading edge manufacturing and nanotechnology particularly in areas related to roll-to-roll manufacturing. There are currently fourteen members of the Industry Advisory Board whose role it is to provide input on the scientific and platform technologies of the center and to suggest new partnerships that will advance the CHM's mission.

The CHM has also formed an industry consortium on Roll-to-Roll Processing designated as "Cluster R".  The UMass Amherst Cluster R consortium, with membership fee based on company size, allows small team dynamics between technical personnel from the company and university faculty, staff and students.

The CHM also performs industry outreach through the sponsoring and organizing of two to three workshops, conferences or summits on nanomanufacturing and nanoinformatics per year under the auspices of its National Nanomanufacturing Network (NNN).  Two recent examples are:
