Advanced nanofabrication, nanoscale device physics
Research in the fabrication and physics of nanoscale devices and materials. This includes new techniques for fabricating functional nanoscale devices using block copolymer templates in combination with conventional lithographic patterning, etching, and deposition methods. Application-oriented research involves terabit-density magnetic arrays, magnetotransport devices, energy conversion devices, nanoscale optics, electrochemical sensor arrays, and thermoelectric cooling elements. Ongoing work also includes charge transport physics in a variety of nanoscale systems.
