Al Crosby is a 2011 Sparks-Thomas Award Winner

This award, sponsored by ExxonMobil Chemical, is to recognize and encourage outstanding scientific contributions and innovations in the field of elastomers by younger scientists, technologists and engineers. Crosby has contributed significantly to the science and technology of elastomers, especially in the context of adhesion, friction, elastic instabilities, structure-property relationships, and the development of bio-inspired hierarchical structures for elastomer-based applications.
